Very good app, many thanks.

Could you add Nautical Mile (nm) to the length section?

Thanks for your comment:
nautical mile will be available in the next release :)

Currency is the one big thing missing! though I guess it would also be the most complicated type of unit to implement accurately, if wanted it to be over the air up-datable to be always accurate, but I'd love to have it.

Vladimir Kofman said...

Sure,
Currency convertor is on my TODO list. But first I want to make other features stable...

Once you've picked a measure to convert, there doesn't seem to be an elegant way to change your mind. So if you pick Power, but decide against entering any units, touching the "Converter" button puts you in an endless loop. There's always the Home button, but that doesn't seem right...

Thanks!
Will fix in next release

Fixed in v0.16

Thanks for the app!

1) Do you think you could add a volume conversion of board feet to cubic meters? It's a lumber/wood conversion and useful for selfish reasons because we're building a house.

2) Second the motion for currency converter with auto-updating conversion rates.

Thanks!

1. board feet -> cubic meter will be available in next version
2. Currency conversion - I'm working on it...

i work in the Digital Postproduction Industry and i would love to see conversion between Film lenght like 35mm to Frames or Timecode values to frames... is that possible ? we tought about coding our own app, but no there is one but lacking that functionality

Vladimir Kofman said...

I have no problem adding that if you'd provide me the conversion algorithm (or table)

ivar said...

look here.. thats the app i use right now... and that functionality would be outstanding to have on the iphone..

Hmmm
That's not good enough for me... I need formulas, not just programm

ivar said...

ok i will try to get the formulas for all the stuff... i think there was a guy who did that in a spreadsheet app... but thx for your great app !

ivar said...

ok my friend will contact you today with all the formulas you need. his name is Jan so stay tuned...

Thanks :)

One more suggestion, can you make it so a user can change the order of categories for conversion; i.e. categories used more often can be placed on top etc.

Vladimir Kofman said...

Yes,
I'll try to figure out what is the best way to achieve this.

Thanks!

hey thanks for adding the currency conversion with update. I was asking for that in your "issues" comments and just wanted to say thanks.

I am using your app on iphone 1.1.3. It is great but on currency conversion, i noted that even after updating exchange rates, currency conversion is not updated. For my currency conversion from CAD$ to US$ is same for last three days even though I verfied from other web sites that it is not the same.
